The Mark 7X prosthetic hand is the world's first commercially available prosthetic hand that integrates two degrees of freedom in the wrist: "bending (dorsiflexion)" and "snap rotation." With a total of 7 motors (5 for fingers + 2 for wrist), it implements all movements within a 20cm length, just like a human hand, while matching the weight and size to that of an average hand, greatly reducing the burden of wearing it.

By embedding a pressure sensor in the palm, it automates force control when gripping objects, allowing users to pick up eggs without breaking them. Existing prosthetic hands had fixed wrists, requiring users to rotate their shoulders when placing a cup on a desk, but the 7X allows for natural movements of freely bending the wrist to place or lift objects.
