Existing child location trackers are smartphone-based or have screens, causing children to focus on the screen. Parents want to monitor their children's location and ensure their safety, but they also want to limit screen time. In addition, existing GPS trackers have significant network or accuracy limitations and lack predictive safety features.

Littlebird is a 'screen-free' wearable dedicated to children. It uses its own IoT network (US-based network) and high-precision GPS (Precision+) to continuously track movement, and uses AI algorithms to learn children's movements to create a family-based predictive safety net.

The differentiating factor is that it does not tempt users with a screen, but has a powerful battery, built-in smartphone integration, and real-time notification function.

The primary market is end consumers (parents/families) (B2C). It can also be introduced for safety management in daycare centers, schools, and orphanages (small-scale B2B), and a B2B model through safety service companies (e.g., child safety care) is also being considered. It may also be partially adopted in government subsidies or public safety programs (B2G).

Although network coverage is centered in the United States, global expansion is possible simply by expanding the network. In addition to child safety, it can be applied to missing risk groups (elderly/dementia patients) and can be expanded to smart city infrastructure (location-based services). However, regulations such as mobile communication frequency regulations and personal location information protection laws must be considered.

At CES, the "screen-free children's wearable" was noted for its innovation. The level of technical completeness is relatively high, and the prototype is already in the commercialization stage.

Market expectations are high, but the price of hardware and service models and regulatory (location tracking product) issues are key. Some evaluations point out that performance is excellent, but battery life and data processing costs are a problem. The evaluation is a mixture of expectations and concerns rather than overestimation.
