A next-generation CO₂ laser cutter/engraver for desktops, featuring 80W high power, a large working area (36″×18″), and an AI automatic assembly system, enabling thick material cutting and automated production.
In creative studios, schools, and small manufacturing sites, typical low-power laser cutters lack the power or cutting width needed to cut thick wood or acrylic. Additionally, machine setup (focus height adjustment, material placement) and repetitive tasks are cumbersome. Users also face safety and maintenance concerns. The xTool P3 aims to overcome these limitations by incorporating a high-power tube and automation.
Equipped with an 80W CO₂ laser, it can cut thick wood (basswood) or acrylic in a single pass. The automation system (ACS™) uses a real-time camera to detect material position (LiDAR autofocus, AI layout optimization) and supports connecting and cutting large materials in two passes (passthrough).
The nesting feature maximizes material utilization, and the powder fire extinguishing system reduces fire risk. Furthermore, the optional IR (1064nm) module supports metal processing, differentiating it from typical home lasers by implementing industrial-grade performance in a desktop size.
B2B, including manufacturers, woodworking shops, design studios, and schools (maker spaces). It is attractive to wood and acrylic DIY creators and craft businesses and can also be used for prototype manufacturing and customized small-batch production. (Targeting the Pro/B2B market rather than B2C.)
It can create a significant impact in the global maker market. The target markets are the DIY and manufacturing markets in the US, Europe, and Asia, and it can be exported worldwide with CE and FDA (hygiene) certifications.
Despite its high power, its desktop size makes it promising for expansion into manufacturing sites and the education market. However, it is necessary to consider the potential strengthening of laser-related safety regulations (workplace safety standards) and fire risk regulations in each country.
As a CES award winner in the Enterprise Technology category, it has been evaluated as excellent in hardware completeness and automation solutions. It is reported that thick material cutting and long continuous operation were performed without problems in actual demonstrations.
As the demand for laser cutting/engraving machines continues to increase in the market, expectations are high, but the price and supporting software performance compared to competing products will be key. Currently, it is a "preparation for launch" product, and the product itself is complete and will be released commercially.
🔥 High Market Potential (Immediate demand centered on prosumers/small-scale manufacturing, competitive with industrial performance)
